Title: Infection Preventionist
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Location: Fairbanks, AK
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), 8-hour day shifts, on-call required with rotating schedule
Pay: Starts at $40 per hour and increases based on experience plus full benefits package. Sign on bonus, relocation and temporary housing assistance are available as well!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Infection Preventionist assists the director in organizing and directing the activities of the infection control program for all departments throughout a facility or ambulatory setting, including surveillance, infection prevention and control measures, and education for employees. Works collaboratively with healthcare teams to minimize the risk of infections and promotes a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors utilizing clinical knowledge and expertise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a master’s in public health (MPH), Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification with Bachelor of Science, OR bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) with current RN Licensure in state of practice
- At least 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting required
- Must be eligible to sit for Certification in Infection Control (CIC) certification at the time of hire. Must obtain CIC certification within one year
